Pyrmont Naturopath & Acupuncturist
Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy and a Master of Applied Science in Acupuncture. She been in practice since 2009. Over this time, she has worked within large integrative medicine clinics, which has provided a wide range of clinical experiences and fuelled her passion for providing effective collaborative care.
Kathleen’s practice aims to help you optimise everyday living through diet and lifestyle, herbal medicine, acupuncture and manual therapy. She holds a special interest in supporting the health of women, new parents and families; which lead her to develop a unique, in-home, postpartum health program through MamaCare Health Services. However, Kath is happy to consult with any patient who walks through the door, as she loves working with people from all walks of life and has experience with many common health complaints, including the following:
- Stress and fatigue
- Anxiety and mood disorders
- Poor immune function and recurrent infections
- Menstrual irregularities and hormonal complaints
- Pregnancy and postpartum care
- Gastrointestinal health and digestive upsets
- Musculoskeletal conditions such as neck and shoulder pain, tension headaches, lower back pain and arthritis
Kathleen also works as an educator and teaches in the naturopathy, nutrition and herbal medicine programs at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies and Endeavour College of Natural Health. She has run professional workshops for midwives, nurses and lactation consultants on naturopathic pregnancy and postpartum care. And she used to appear regularly on the health program at Woodford Folk Festival.
Originally from Queensland, Kathleen relocated to Sydney with her husband several years ago, and they welcomed their daughter in 2014. Outside of clinic, she most enjoys being with her family, connecting with friends, good food, reading, writing, travelling, practicing yoga and spending time outdoors (preferably barefoot).
