Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy and has been in practice since 2009. Over this time, she has worked within large integrative medicine clinics, which has provided a wide range of clinical experiences and fuelled her passion for providing effective collaborative care. Kathleen is currently completing a Masters program in acupuncture, through RMIT, and will be adding this into her practice in 2018.
Kathleen’s practice aims to optimise everyday living through diet, lifestyle and herbal medicine. She holds a special interest in supporting the health of women, new parents and families; which lead her to develop a unique, in-home, postpartum health program through MamaCare Health Services. However, Kathleen is happy to consult with any patient who walks through the door, as she loves working with people from all walks of life and has experience with many common health complaints, including the following:
- Stress and fatigue
- Anxiety and mood disorders
- Poor immune function and recurrent infections
- Menstrual irregularities and hormonal complaints
- Pregnancy and postpartum care
- Gastrointestinal health and digestive upsets
Kathleen also works as an educator and teaches in the naturopathy, nutrition and herbal medicine programs at Endeavour College of Natural Health and the Australasian College of Natural Therapies. She has run professional workshops for midwives, nurses and lactation consultants on naturopathic pregnancy and postpartum care. And she used to appear regularly on the health program at Woodford Folk Festival.
Originally from Queensland, Kathleen relocated to Sydney with her husband several years ago, and they welcomed their daughter in 2014. Outside of clinic, she most enjoys being with her family, connecting with friends, good food, reading, writing, travelling, practicing yoga and spending time outdoors (preferably barefoot).
